County Route 106
During the Community Meeting with George Winner and Jim Bacalles, Gene Steinhilper complained about the paving project on County Route 106 or commonly known as Church Creek Road. Gene had many concerns about how the county was repaving the road, one of which was he felt the county trenched the ditch too deep in front of his house preventing him from mowing it during the summer.
Dee Hill had given Gene County Legislator Bob Nichols phone number and suggested he call Bob to help him out with his problem. So today Bob, Vincent Spagnoletti and Harley Mayo from County Public Works drove up to talk with Gene.
It was decided that the county would come back and "bevel" the top edge of Gene's ditch so he could mow to the bottom.
The county widened Rt.106 considerably and raised the road bed by eight inches and ten inches on some of the curves. The plan is to resurface with oil and stone this year, and then come back next spring and repave with blacktop because it's too late in the season to blacktop this year. The county is also going to raise the mailboxes for residents to level them with the height of the reconstructed road.

I keep getting these dad burned ads in the comments. All I can do is delete them.
I noticed the ads are popping up everywhere.Must be word has got out free advertising on your blog !lol they probably see how many people read your blog and figured why not.It was a disappointment to find out the removed blogs were just sales and not someone strongly voicing there opinion on a subject.:)
I figured people would think the deleted comments were "over the top" comments.I didn't delete a few of the ads so readers could see what they were. Blogger has a remedy and I'll turn it on if it gets too bad.
Nice to know the county responded to the "SQUEEKY WHEEL'S" many complaints. Also -great to see the improvements on Church Creek. Someday-Lindley may have county roads like those around Bath .
Hey...ya gotta "squeak"...that's how we got Route 15 on the Bond Act.
Maybe it is the manner in which it is done.
I just know i am happy to see the improvements to Church creek. The much needed repairs have been a ongoing problem for the county .The local supervisor has been trying to get improvements for a long time but hands were tied because of budget cuts.Gotta give him credit for not giving up on this project.
Bob Nichols, brought Vincent Spagnoletti, & Harley Mayo down to look at Church Creek Rd.and they drove the road, They also stopped and looked at Gene's property. So our County Legislator is doing his job, Bob is also on the Publis works Committee. Thanks Bob!
