Check out the new "Poll" feature
Note from Sallyann: I've been wanting to post the "Poll" feature since I started the blog, but you know, learning computer language doesn't come easy for me or anyone else I know for that matter. But I struggled through the directions and Bingo....I now can post Poll questions when appropriate. So check the new Poll feature out (on the left side of the front page beneath the list of Archives) and cast your vote on "whether or not there should be a parade at the Lindley Heritage Days Celebration this year". The organizers really want to know!

Heritage Days is a worthwhile event that is enjoyed by those who attend. An out of town person asked me just last week if we were going to have it this year. She said they had so much fun the last time.
It would be great if more people in the town became active in helping-but like most community affairs-the work is left up to a few. Their efforts are appreciated.
I like the "poll" feature . Unfortunately, only one vote can be cast per computer. Is there a way to reword the questions? i.e. How many people in your household would like to see Heritage Days every 1 year? a.1 b.2 c.3 d.4 or more
That would give a more accurate count of all voters, not just the one who is registered on the computer.
Polls are set with a voting time limit. The Heritage Days polls are set for "one month". This means that anyone in your household, or yourself, can vote again after one month. I can set the time limit for either one day, one week, one month or one year.
In April, I will set the time limit for "one week", so your family, or yourself will be able to vote "four" times.
After April I will consider posting the polls again depending on the response and whether the organizers think they need more time to hear from people, or they've received enough guidance from the poll results to make a decision.
How does one find out info about the Heritage Days? Do the organizers post on your blog? How are volunteers recruited?
In the upcoming weeks I'll announce the date when the Heritage Days organizers meet to discuss the event. At that time, if anyone is interested in voluntering to help just come to the meeting. We're always looking for new blood and ideas. Don't forget to place your vote on the blog polls about Heritage Days!
