I wonder if i am the only one that has a flash back of 9/11 every time i hear the name Alquaeda. How can anyone try to hold our president responsible for the horrific acts the terrorist brought to the U.S.A.There shoud be only praise for his quick retaliation to the attack on our country!People need to remember our armed forces are dieing every day trying to keep the fight with these monsters well away from America.I wonder if these people would be happy if the President brought our troops home and the terrorist started the suicide bombings every day here in the U.S.A.Its easy to be unsupportive when all the killing isnt happening here at home. But our President and troops need our support not our scorn. I am thankful for the Presidents actions and our troops continued sacrifices for us all!
Marc- I too have flashbacks to 9/11 every time I hear Al Qaeda or Osama's name. It amazes me how clearly it all comes flooding back! How could anyone ever forget that horrendous event?
It amazes how quickly we Americans forget and move on to the petty finger pointing, instead of trying to really understand the dangers we face every day because, whether they want to believe it or not, these people are out there, waiting for another opportunity to destroy our way of life.
I cannot fathom how difficult President Bush's job has been over the past several years (or how he has survived the stress!), with everything he has had to deal with, or the political motivations of the crazy liberals for trying to divide this country at a time when it is so critical that we stand united. It is frightening to know that the world is seeing us torn apart from the inside, because it gives hope to those who are looking for weaknesses right now.
It is so important for us to see the "big picture" and understand that those things that hold the greatest reward are the same things that require the greatest effort on all our parts.
Americans have become so short sighted and impatient over the past few decades - they don't like waiting for results, but history tells us that we have to stand firm and get the job done. Look at the slaughter that took place after we pulled out from Desert Storm and Vietnam because everyone was whining. It is unthinkable that we would consider doing that again, knowing all we do now.
Our troops are fighting every day to keep those monsters off of our shores and I, for one, pray every day for their safety and success, as well as strength and wisdom for President Bush. He is clearly a man of principles and integrity and has my admiration for everything he has weathered.
